§ 90. Mr. Lawsonasked the Minister of Labour the ratio of notified unfilled vacancies to boys under 18 years of age registered as unemployed in Scotland and the Midlands of England at June and December in each of the past two years.
§ Mr. WoodFor every 100 boys registered as wholly unemployed in Scotland there were 290 notified vacancies unfilled in June, 1957, 145 in December, 1957, 81 in June, 1958, and 23 in December, 1958. The corresponding figures for the Midland Region were 1,475, 1,445, 658 and 532 respectively.
