§ 99. Mr. Osborneasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he is now in a position to sanction the closing of the Monks Dyke Road, Louth, Lincolnshire, to vehicular traffic, and the building of a subway for pedestrians under the present railway crossing; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. NugentThe closing of this road would not require our agreement. Our agreement to the building of a subway would be needed only if the Louth Corporation applied for sanction to raise a loan for that purpose. I understand that the Corporation and the British Transport Commission are in touch on the matter.
