HC Deb 15 December 1959 vol 615 c123W
Mr. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many miles of road have been constructed in Scotland under the Agriculture (Improvement of Roads) Act, 1955; and what has been the aggregate cost involved.

Mr. Leburn

My right hon. Friend regrets that, owing to the inevitable time-lag in the submission by local authorities of final claims for grant up-to-date, particulars of improvement schemes completed are not available; but up to 30th November, 1959, he had approved for grant schemes covering 176 miles and involving a total cost of£595,000.
