HC Deb 15 December 1959 vol 615 c124W
48. Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Prime Minister whether he will reconsider the establishment of the Monckton Commission, in view of the expressed intention of the African political movements to boycott the Commission.

54. Mr. Driberg

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the decision by the African Congress leaders to boycott the Monckton Commission, he will now revise the Commission's terms of reference.

The Prime Minister

No. I hope that those who have urged a boycott of the Commission will reconsider their attitude.
