HC Deb 16 April 1959 vol 603 cc101-2W
Mr. Osborne

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the concern of British egg-producers at the importation of 7,000,000 eggs from Poland when the price of home-produced eggs is so low; and what action he now proposes to take to prevent dumping of these foreign produced eggs.

Sir D. Eccles

asked I understand from trade sources that some 7 million eggs have been imported from Poland this month. The Board of Trade has received no application for action under the Customs Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act.
