HC Deb 02 April 1958 vol 585 cc157-8W
Mr. Owen

asked the Secretary of State for War to what extent it is proposed to derequisition the military training range in north Northumberland; how many acres will be released; and at what possible date.

Mr. Soames

The anti-tank range of Ross Links will be given up in its entirety of 1,300 acres as soon as its lease has been terminated and the land cleared of unexploded missiles. I cannot give more than a rough estimate of how long this will take, but it may be about a year. Redesdale and Alnwick ranges are to be retained.
