§ Mr. Chetwyndasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will state, county by county, or in other appropriate form, the area of land which it is proposed to retain and the area to be surrendered.
§ Mr. SoamesFifty thousand acres are to be given up during the next two or three years. As I explained on 6th March, the release of land will be gradual and I cannot yet give full details. I can tell the hon. Member, however, that the remainder of the Fylingdales training area, amounting to some 13,000 acres, will be released as part of this programme.
