HC Deb 11 February 1957 vol 564 c133W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Paymaster-General why, in the year ended 31st December, 1956, only £414,982 worth of petroleum and petroleum products were imported from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; and, in view of Great Britain's urgent need for these commodities, what action he has taken, or proposes to take, to increase these imports in the current year.

Mr. Maudling

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply he received from my right hon. Friend the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs on 12th December last, to which I have nothing to add.
