HC Deb 02 December 1957 vol 579 cc4-5W
48 and 49. Mr. Watkins

asked the Minister of Health (1) what consideration he has given to the future use of the High land Moors Hospital, Llandrindod Wells, now that it is no longer required for tuberculosis purposes;

(2) whether, in considering the future use of the Highland Moors Hospital, Llandrindod Wells, which is no longer required as a tuberculosis hospital, he will bear in mind the recommendation of the Rural Development Panel of the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire on Mid-Wales Spas, Command Paper No. 53, paragraph 14, that a hostel should be established for patients requiring spa treatment.

Mr. R. Thompson

Full consideration has been given by the Regional Hospital Board to the possibility of finding an economical future use of this property in the hospital service. It has, however, reached the conclusion that no such use can be found, and I share its view.
