HC Deb 02 December 1957 vol 579 c4W
47. Mr. Tiley

asked the Minister of Health if he will amend the Regulations with regard to linen and bedding on hospital inventories so as to save the time of senior officers and other staff spent on checking these items, as at present required by Regulations.

Mr. Walker-Smith

Bedding and linen are particularly liable to loss and the preparation and checking of inventories of these goods, in conjunction with other safeguards which I have recommended, seems to me necessary to discharge my responsibility for safe keeping of public property.
