76. Mr. W. Griffiths

asked the Minister of Health for what reasons the Manchester Regional Hospital Board has not yet determined the amount which the South Manchester Hospital Management Committee may spend on maintenance during the current financial year.

Mr. Walker-Smith

I am informed that the H.M.C. has now been notified of the amount.

Mr. Walker-Smith

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne, East (Mr. Blenkinsop) on 25th November. The number of hospitals affected remains unchanged and about 1,900 nurses are involved.
