Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what motorway lengths, with their approximate mileages, he anticipates will be authorised, under construction, or in use, respectively, by 31st March, 1962.

Mr. Watkinson

The motorway programme will be advanced as rapidly as possible and the various schemes will be announced as soon as firm start dates are arranged.
