Mr. AmoryThere is the closest cooperation between the B.B.C. and my Department for broadcasting announcements of outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease and the arrangements satisfied the Departmental Committee on Foot and Mouth Disease which reported in 1954. It would be impracticable to include in the broadcast announcement details of the markets that are closed, but farmers are able to obtain this information locally without difficulty.
