HC Deb 02 August 1957 vol 574 c275W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will consider making the disease known as orf in sheep a notifiable disease, in view of its contagious nature and the spread of the disease in the County of Kent.

Mr. Amory

Although some cases of orf occur in different parts of the country, including Kent, I do not regard the disease as of sufficient importance to be made notifiable under the Diseases of Animals Act, 1950.
