HC Deb 12 December 1956 vol 562 c58W
102. Mr. Nabarro

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, in view of the urgent need to economise in fuel and having regard to his earlier assurances, whether he will now lay the necessary Order to permit all heavy goods vehicles, including articulated vehicles, to travel up to 30 m.p.h. maximum, instead of the present limit of 20 m.p.h.

Mr. Watkinson

I propose in the course of the next few days to lay regulations before the House to make the change with effect from 1st May, 1957.
