§ 60. Mr. Orbachasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what steps his Department is taking to deal with the sewage deposits at the bathing beaches at Sandbanks and Branksome, Dorsetshire.
§ Mr. SandysSewage is discharged into Poole Bay from the areas of three sewerage authorities. Conditions in the bay, and consequently on these beaches, will be improved when effect can be given to a number of schemes which have been submitted to me by these authorities. One of these schemes has been completed, and work has started on another; two more have been approved in principle, and the remainder are under consideration.
