Harrisonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what arrangements are being made to provide the necessary fresh water for the nuclear power station at Bradwell-on-Sea; and if he is satisfied that this will not jeopardise the present supplies being received by the residents in the area, which are inadequate for their present needs.
§ Mr. SandysIt is proposed that the Southend Water Company should provide a bulk supply from the Hanningfield reservoir to the Maldon Rural District Council, which is the water undertaking for the Bradwell area. I am satisfied that local supplies will not be jeopardised.
