HC Deb 02 August 1956 vol 557 c198W
61. Mr. B. Harrison

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what arrangements are being made to provide the necessary fresh water for the nuclear power station at Bradwell-on-Sea; and if he is satisfied that this will not jeopardise the present supplies being received by the residents in the area, which are inadequate for their present needs.

Mr. Sandys

It is proposed that the Southend Water Company should provide a bulk supply from the Hanningfield reservoir to the Maldon Rural District Council, which is the water undertaking for the Bradwell area. I am satisfied that local supplies will not be jeopardised.
