HC Deb 24 November 1955 vol 546 c136W
69. Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement on the investigations by Detective-Superintendent Herbert Hannam of the alleged bribery and corruption among certain uniformed police officers attached to the West End Central Police Station; and whether he will place in the Library a copy of the report of this officer to the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.

Major Lloyd-George

As regards the first part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the statement made by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State in reply to the hon. Member for Cardiff, South-East (Mr. Callaghan) on 18th November. There can be no question of publishing police reports which are confidential documents.
