HC Deb 24 November 1955 vol 546 cc136-7W
71. Mr. Brockway

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to prohibit the use of bows and arrows and other dangerous weapons by children in public places except under responsible supervision.

Major Lloyd-George

It is already an offence wantonly to throw or discharge a missile in a street or public place. I am not satisfied that further legislation would be a practicable way of reducing accidents from the use by children of dangerous weapons.
