§ Mr. GammansOne hundred and ninety-four applications are outstanding, of which 101 are in course of being met or are under enquiry. New cables are required in certain parts of the town and 143W plans are in hand to provide these. There has been a substantial increase in the demand for telephones in the past two years and, while this tendency continues, it is impossible to say when all applications will be met.
