§ Mr. GammansSeventeen applications are outstanding, apart from 20 in course of being met or under inquiry. Two hundred and one telephones were connected during the 12 months ended 30th June, 1955, and the figures for previous years were: 1953, 65; 1954, 175. Particulars for 1952 are not available. I regret that I cannot say what is the average delay since it depends upon whether plant is available.
