HC Deb 27 May 1954 vol 528 cc45-6W
66. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Health whether he will amend the National Health scheme at an early date to enable special types of spectacles advised by opticians to be supplied at normal charge and not at full cost.

Mr. Iain Macleod

All normal types of spectacles necessary for correct vision are available under the supplementary eye service and patients who need special types outside that range on medical grounds can obtain them through the hospital service.
