§ 44. Mr. Llewellynasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in areas where rabbits are being largely eliminated by myxomatosis, he will prohibit the use of the gin trap.
§ Sir T. DugdaleNo. In areas where there has been an outbreak of myxomatosis, it will be necessary to intensify ordinary control measures, with a view to eliminating survivors before they breed up again. If ordinary measures were relaxed, as the question suggests, the numbers of rabbits would rapidly recover after the disease had passed.
