HC Deb 14 December 1954 vol 535 c111W
59. Mr. Fletcher-Cooke

asked the Minister of Labour if, in view of the importance to the export drive of well-designed silk fabrics and of the difficulty in finding British nationals trained in such designing, he will allow Mr. Walter Lehmann, a Swiss national, a labour permit to continue to design for Lancashire Silk Mills Limited, Darwen, in spite of the expiry of his permit as a student-trainee.

Mr. Watkinson

Yes. My right hon. and learned Friend has written to my hon. Friend about the case, about which he has been in correspondence with him.
