Mr. Bellengerasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence whether he will publish as a White Paper a detailed statement showing the achievement reached by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation countries in the matter of provision of military formations agreed at the Lisbon Conference.
§ Mr. BirchNo. The issue of such a statement would be a matter for the North 9W Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The communiqué issued after the North Atlantic Council meeting in December said that the increase in forces agreed to at Lisbon for 1952 had been substantially achieved by the end of last year.
