§ 70. Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Health in how many cases local health authorities have themselves provided temporary accommodation for mental defectives under Section 28 of the National Health Service Act, 1946, as advised by circular 5/52;and in how many they have arranged for the pro vision of such accommodation.
§ Miss Hornsby-SmithUp to date, 258 defectives have been accommodated under arrangements made by local health authorities and 1,839 have been admitted to hospitals for short periods.
