asked the Minister of Health the average time taken, from the first application, for the supply of individual ear moulds for use with Medresco hearing aids to children attending schools for the deaf; and how the figure for the city of Birmingham com pares with that for the country as a whole.

Information is not available for calculating an average time. I understand that a few children from a school for the deaf in Birmingham have been waiting about six months, though others for a very much shorter time. Arrangements are being made to give high priority to these children at all stages.
