asked the Minister of Work whether he is satisfied that the increase in supplies of asbestos cement pipes, as forecast by Circular 51/52 of 6th June, 1952, has, in fact, been forthcoming; and if he estimates that future supplies will be plentiful.

Mr. Eccles

Yes. The production of 3-inch asbestos cement pipes is now 50 per cent. higher than in June. Supplies generally are satisfactory and are expected to be adequate in the future.
