HC Deb 21 October 1952 vol 505 c84W
76. Mr. Perkins

asked the Minister of Works whether he will grant permission for the use of Westminster Hall for a lunch for Dominion, Colonial and British Members of Parliament immediately before the Coronation, as happened on 7th May, 1937.

Mr. Eccles

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, who arranged the luncheon in 1937, have approached me about a similar luncheon next year, and I have gladly given my approval.

77. Mr. Janner

asked the Minister of Works whether his investigations show that the seating facilities along the Coronation route are likely to be adequate for those who want to see the procession.

Mr. Eccles

I am responsible only for stands in the Royal Parks, in Parliament Square and outside buildings which are in the charge of my Department. I hope to make full use of these sites to accommodate as many people as possible, but it is not possible to provide seats for all who would wish them.
