Mr. Houghton

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General how many fraudulent withdrawals have been made from the Post Office Savings Bank during each of the years 1945 to 1951, inclusive; and what proportion fraudulent withdrawals were of total withdrawals in those years.

The numbers of fraudulent withdrawals from the Post Office Savings Bank for each of the years 1945 to 1951 inclusive, and the proportion of fraudulent withdrawals to total withdrawals during those years are shown in the table below:
