HC Deb 09 December 1952 vol 509 cc31-2W
98. Mr. Mulley

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he proposes to take to prevent cutlery of foreign origin being stamped with a Coronation mark in this country and sold as souvenirs.

Mr. H. Strauss

None. The import of cutlery marked so as to constitute Coronation souvenirs is already prohibited; we have no powers to prohibit the application of a Coronation mark after importation.
