HC Deb 19 March 1951 vol 485 c239W
Mr. Vaughan-Morgan

asked the Minister of Transport what action he is taking to minimise the danger to children attending the Fellbridge school, Surrey, from traffic.

Mr. Barnes

I have suggested to the Surrey County Council that they should consider arranging for adult patrols to see the children safely across the roads near the school. If they decide to do so I am prepared to authorise the use by the patrols of "Stop—Children Crossing" signs to halt traffic while the children cross.
