Mr. Philips Priceasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that mobile canteens have recently been permanently established on trunk road A.40, at positions three miles east of Andoversford and four miles east of Northleach; that vehicles in consequence park on the verges on both sides of the roads and overlap the comparatively narrow carriageway thus causing danger to traffic and disfiguring the verges; and whether he will investigate the matter with a view to remedial action.
§ Mr. BarnesYes. I have given directions to the local planning authority to refuse the applications which the owners have made under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, to establish these canteens, but the owners have a right of appeal.
