asked the Minister of Food how the amount of milk drunk in the winter of 1950–51 compares with the amount consumed in the two previous winters.

Consumption of liquid milk in the United Kingdom in the winter of 1950–51, that is, October, 1950, to March, 1951, inclusive, is provisionally estimated at 779 million gallons. The comparable figures for the winters of 1949–50 and 1948–49 are 755 million gallons and 725 million gallons respectively.
