HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 cc147-8W
123. Sir H. Williams

asked the Minister of Works if his attention has been drawn to the fact that of the 10 wash basins installed in the lavatory adjacent to the Members' entrance, one has been broken and three cracked since the re-opening of the House of Commons, due to the bad design of the waste plug, and that nine of the marble, surrounds are cracked; and what steps he is taking to prevent future waste of public funds in this direction.

Mr. Stokes

The basins and plugs have been in use for some years. I will have the question of the design of the wastes looked into.
