HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 c64W
62. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the danger of epidemics in some countries due to inadequate supplies of D.D.T. and a disproportionate accumulation in other countries, His Majesty's Government will consider proposing to the United Nations a scheme for ensuring an equitable world supply and distribution of this and any similar substance.

Mr. Younger

The United Nations organisation is already seized of this problem. It has also recently been considered by the Assembly of the World Health Organisation, whose Annual Report will be discussed at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in August and September, 1951.
