§ Mr. Harold Daviesasked the Minister of Supply if he can give information on the recent police raid on a private club, namely, the Thirteen Club, in the hostel, Milton House, which is used for apprentices at Radway Green Royal Ordnance factory; and on what basis is this club established.
§ Mr. G. R. StraussThe Thirteen Club is a private club which is managed by a Committee and the membership of which is restricted to members of the staff of the Royal Ordnance factory and their friends. It occupies premises adjoining, but separate from, the Apprentices' Hostel in Milton House grounds. Apprentices are not admitted to the Club as members or guests. I have no information about the action, if any, which the police propose to take as a result of their recent visit to the Club.
