§ 148. Mr. Alportasked the Minister of Defence if he will make a statement regarding the outcome of discussions between representatives of British and French military commands in Africa, which have recently terminated in Nairobi.
§ Mr. ShinwellThe aim of the talks recently held in Nairobi between representatives of the French Indian Ocean Command and of the British naval, military and Air Force Commands concerned was to consider matters of mutual interest with regard to the defence of the area. The discussions were successfully concluded on 8th November, but a full report has not yet reached London.
