§ 5. Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Food if he will take steps to purchase from the Overseas Food Corporation the supplies of fertilisers ordered for the groundnut scheme in East Africa and not now required for use this season, with a view to making these supplies available to farmers in this country.
§ Mr. StracheyAll the stocks of fertiliser held by the Corporation are in East Africa and are needed there this year.
§ 11. Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Food if supplies of water have been discovered at Kongwa, Urambo and Lindi, adequate to provide the three centres of development under the East African Groundnut Scheme with all the water required.
