Mr. Naylor

asked the Minister of Labour the number of registered cases dealt with by the resettlement branches of his Department in the London area during September, showing the returns for each branch separately, and distinguishing between ex-Service and non-Service applicants.

The statement below shows the number of persons who made inquiries at Resettlement Advice Offices in the London postal area during the period 27th August to 24th September, 1948.

These figures do not include inquiries in connection with the issue of passports. A large number of the inquiries came from ex-Service men and women, but the exact proportion of ex-Service and non-Service inquirers cannot be stated.
