HC Deb 09 November 1948 vol 457 c173W
Mr. Platts-Mills

asked the President of the Board of Trade what quantity of British clothing is to be exported to Western Germany during the last quarter of 1948; and what proportion of total imports into the bizone does this represent.

Mr. Bottomley

Exports of clothing are not controlled and I cannot estimate the quantity to be exported to Western Germany, which will depend on licences issued at the German end.
