HC Deb 02 February 1948 vol 446 c243W
121. Mr. Dye

asked the Minister of Health what estimate he has made of the number of new houses to be provided by the local authorities to meet the needs of the agricultural population of England; to what extent a programme has been drawn up for 1948, 1949 and 1950; and whether there will be any proportionate limitation on building by private owners for agricultural needs.

Mr. J. Edwards

I would refer my hon. Friend to my reply to the Question raised by the hon. Member for Newbury (Mr. Hurd) on 22nd January, a copy of which I am sending him. As regards building by private owners, each case will be considered on its own individual merits.
