HC Deb 20 November 1947 vol 444 c205W
78. Mr. Keeling

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any conference has taken place between his Department and the Ministry of Town and Country Planning, and the Council for the Preservation of Rural England, on the siting of new police wire less masts; and with what result; and what sites have already been selected.

Mr. Younger

A very satisfactory conference between representatives of the Departments, the Royal Fine Arts Commission, and the Council took place on 30th September, when arrangements were put in train to secure the notification to the Council by the responsible authority of any future proposals for the erection of police wireless masts which appear likely to affect local amenities. No new sites have been selected since the conference.
