HC Deb 19 November 1947 vol 444 c182W
63. Colonel Stoddart-Scott

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware that many hospitals are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain blood donors for their blood transfusion service owing to the diminished food ration, and will he recommend that increased rations be given for a short period to those who give of their blood.

Mr. Strachey

Special allowances of food are made to hospitals for donors after they have given their blood.
