HC Deb 19 November 1947 vol 444 c182W
64. Sir I. Fraser

asked the Minister of Food if in staffing the Overseas Food Corporation he will consider the employment of suitable administrative and engineering officers who have had experience in India and Burma and who, owing to recent changes of policy, have been dismissed or have reduced prospects in those countries.

Mr. Strachey

Under the Overseas Resources Development Bill it will be for the Overseas Food Corporation to appoint its own administrative and engineering staff. I have, however, already drawn the attention of the Chairman-Designate of the Corporation to the suggestion made by the hon. Member.
