HC Deb 12 November 1947 vol 444 cc81-2W
86. Mr. D. Marshall

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will give an assurance that he will not decrease the number of our fishery protection vessels.

Mr. Dugdale

I regret that no such assurance can be given, but any temporary reductions which may be necessary in the strength of the flotilla will not affect its ability to give essential protection to the fishing industry.
