§ Mr. StracheyThe reason why the special cheese ration is not allowed to working farmers, or to relatives who may be working for them, is that they are usually able to return home for a midday meal if they so wish. Moreover, the working farmer's household is, quite legitimately and inevitably far better placed than other households for obtaining additional foodstuffs under the various self-suppliers' scheme.
