asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government have come to a decision about selling to the Siamese Government the railway known as "The Railroad of Death," which runs between Siam and Burma and was built by the Japanese during the war mainly by the labour of British prisoners of war; and, what price is being paid for it.

Yes. An agreement was reached with the Siamese Government, on 4th October, 1946, for the sale to them of that portion of the Burma—Siam railway which lies in Siamese territory, for £1,250,000.
