HC Deb 27 March 1947 vol 435 cc232-3W
108. Mr. D. Marshall

asked the Minister of Works if he is aware that the local authorities at Lostwithiel, Cornwall, have been waiting many months for windows for 10 houses, of which details have been forwarded to him by the hon. Member for Bodmin; that these windows have been repeatedly promised; that the interior woodwork of the houses is being considerably damaged; and that four of these houses were ready in December and six could now be occupied if windows could be obtained; and if he will now make a supply available.

Mr. Key

The difficulty in obtaining these windows was brought to the notice of my Department in January. When specific promises of delivery then obtained from the makers were not fulfilled, arrangements were made for windows to be supplied by another maker who will despatch within fourteen days of receiving the formal order with complete particulars of requirements.
