§ Mr. KeyThe value of licences issued by my Department in 1946 for building work to shops and stores in the Penrhyn and Falmouth area was £10,742. The proportions of the labour force in that area allocated to housing and non-housing work, including business premises, are 60 per cent. and 40 per cent. respectively. Licences for non-housing work are issued by my Department where the cost exceeds £100 and by the local authority where the cost is below that amount.
